Absolute bonkers prom fashion – we certainly didn’t dress like this when I was a teen!
Check out sheer, jewel-covered, curve-hugging number, above, created by Basketball Wives LA star and designer Angel Brinks, who apparently specializes in “embellished flesh-flashing” bodysuits.
Faith Thigpen, 16, from Jackson, Mississippi, wore the $1,995 showstopper to her prom, saying she said was inspired by the outfits the Kardashian and Jenner women wore to a Great Gatsby-themed party thrown to celebrate Kris Jenner‘s 60th birthday (images here and here).

‘Our theme was the 1920s The Great Gatsby. My mom and I saw pictures from the Kardashian’ Gatsby-themed blinged-out party, and we were immediately inspired!’
Faith took the eye-catching, spotlight, stealing look a step further by adding a voluminous tulle train, nude pumps topped with a jeweled bow, a diamante clutch, and plenty of jewelry.
Since uploading photos of her big night to Instagram, Faith has received hundreds of thousands of likes on her pictures.
The talented teen already had quite a few followers, as she stars on the dance reality show Bring It!
Her styling efforts especially paid off when she received a shout-out from the designer herself, who wrote on social media: ‘Thank you for choosing us! I hope you had an amazing time and I know everyone loved it! You look gorgeous!’
It’s not clear if the teen brought a date to the big night, but she traveled in a vintage Rolls Royce with her fellow dancer Denicia, who also opted for an elaborately-jeweled knee-length gown with a similar tulle train

Government forces in the Russian republic of Chechnya are abducting and torturing gay men. At least three were murdered.
Human Rights First and The Russian Speaking American LGBT Association (RUSA LGBT) have released a video detailing the atrocities gay men are currently facing there.
“The video features stories from survivors of the Chechen camps who have made it out to safety. Read by gay Russian asylees in the United States, the messages, we hope, will drive home for viewers how horrifying the situation truly is,” says HRF.
Says Shawn Gaylord of Human Rights First:
“Gay men are being treated like animals. They’re rounded up, they’re detained, they’re tortured, a few have been murdered. All of this has been inflicted upon them by the very people sworn to protect them. The world needs to act. We’re calling on the administration and Congress to speak out against these horrific human rights abuses. The stories coming from those lucky enough to survive and make it out are harrowing. We felt that by sharing them we could put this nightmare in perspective for the many people that have only read about it in a newspaper. We partnered with gay Russian men from the Russian-Speaking American LGBT Association because who better to share these accounts than those who have fled similar persecution. Our hope is that this will drive action, our hope is that it will help achieve justice.”

Andrey Nagorny, 20-year-old man from Russia’s Sakhalin Oblast region, recently caused an uproar when it was revealed that he won a women’s lingerie photo contest organized by a popular store chain.
Via Oddity Central:
Nagorny heard of the online photo contest through his girlfriend. Aware of his feminine features, they decided to take a few photos of Andrey wearing some sexy women’s lingerie and enter them into the contest, just for fun. Andrey’s girlfriend, whose name has not been made public, fixed his hair and did his makeup before asking a talented photographer to snap some rather professional-looking photos of him and submitting them to the contest organizer online. They expected to get a good laugh out of the whole thing, but what they didn’t expect was for Andrey to be declared the winner.
Ah, but he was. He was awarded the title of “Miss Avocado” (?!) and scheduled for a professional photo shoot to celebrate his win. When he arrived, that’s when the store managers learned that he was actually a man.
Afraid of how the public – particularly their customers – would react to a man being celebrated for wearing women’s lingerie, they decided to disqualify him and hand the title over to the first runner up.
“The boy looks very similar to a girl, and since anyone could enter our contest, he chose to participate as well. We got his photos, and in the end the jury chose him as the winner, he was selected,” Zheanna Stolpovskaya, manager of the lingerie store chain that organized the photo contest, told 360TV. “For the final photo shoot, we chose three girls, he didn’t participate, because the photos will be available for everyone to see. Obviously, we couldn’t predict how the general public and our buyers would react to them.”
The public’s reaction, when the story came out in the press, wasn’t what they thought it would be.
“Idiots! Now he can easily sue them for gender discrimination. And you thought that only women are discriminated against?” one person wrote on Russian social media.
“They are so full of s*hit! Why didn’t they announce gender requirements from the very start? Or give the first prize to the owner of the lingerie store chain?” another commented.
Not what you might expect, given the current political climate in Russia. Unfortunately, Andrey Nagorny apparently didn’t even win a consolation prize, but he says that he’s not disappointed at all, because he never expected to win in the first place. He does, however, have a multitude of new fans and online fame, which is consolation enough.
So. Sliiiight victory in Russia. A bit of progress.

Living legend Kirsen Caroline Dunst, Big Little Lies’ greatest gift to the world, Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning and Colin Farrell are about to make the Cannes rounds for their new collaboration with Sofia Coppola, “The Beguiled.” This marks Dunst’s FOURTH collaboration with Coppola and Fanning’s second and tells the story “a Union soldier (Farrell) held captive in a Confederate girl boarding school, whom begins to con himself to each of their hearts.” Production began shortly after Halloween weekend last year, and they shared a teaser trailer back in February but the full trailer is here and these women aren’t playing around. Swedish real-estate agent/Million Dollar List New York superstar/wowlebrity extraordinaire Fredrik Eklund revealed in a new Instagram post that he has been working on a line of rosé wine he is launching in France to coincide with his upcoming 40th birthday.
He writes:
“I think: this is life. This very moment is what it’s all about. This is what I’ve worked so hard for. I’m finally here, in Florence with my family, on my way to Paris for my 40th birthday! The High-Kick wine started with a dream over a year ago. A dream to enjoy my own premium Venetian rosé, a gorgeous bottle that symbolizes everything that I love about this life.”
Eklund admits he is a perfectionist, and writes that he wants every detail to be perfect.
“It’s no secret I’ve always been obsessed with rosé wine, so when creating my own it had to be absolutely perfect. Everything about it,” Fredrik Eklund explained in his lengthy Instagram post, revealing that he’s very happy with the final product.
“I’m so incredibly happy with the final result, the color, the gold leaf packaging, the heavy bottle, a liquid piece of me and my dreams. The first limited batch of 12,000 bottles went online yesterday and most likely won’t last beyond the weekend unfortunately. We are now producing more, a lot more, which will be available in more countries soon, I promise. I apologize in advance that not everyone will be able to order at this moment in time. But remember, these first bottles were made with a lot of high-kicking love, really and truly.”
Pretty cool! Can’t wait to have a little wine-tasting party in the office to celebrate!

Happy Days/Joanie Loves Chachi star Erin Moran was found dead in her New Salisbury, Indiana home over the weekend, due to complications from her stage 4 cancer. Even though she had a long history of drug and alcohol abuse, police said there were no illegal narcotics found at the scene.
That didn’t stop her former co-star/empathy-impaired alt-right wingnut Scott Baio from questioning what really killed the 56-year-old actress.
During an interview with “The Bernie & Sid Show,” also Monday, Baio admitted he was “not completely shocked” by his “Joanie Loves Chachi” co-star’s passing.
“I’m OK, a little shocked but not completely shocked that this happened. My thing is, I feel bad because her whole life, she was troubled, could never find what made her happy and content. For me, you do drugs or drink, you’re gonna die. I’m sorry if that’s cold, but God gave you a brain, gave you the will to live and thrive and you gotta take care of yourself.”
Yuck. What a putz.
He continued, unprompted:
“I knew Erin well, over the last many years I have not spoken with her. She was just an insecure human being and fell into this world of drugs and alcohol. Again, I don’t know if that’s what killed her, I’m sure it was a culmination of years and years of doing it that might have had something to do with it. She just never found her way.”
“How do you help somebody that doesn’t want to help themselves? You try a couple of times and if they don’t want the help, I gotta go, sorry.”
He also made sure to drive home the point that he’s never had a drug problem himself.
“I never did drugs. I never was interested in drugs, it never intrigued me. I had parents and a brother and sister who were straight arrows and my father, God rest his soul, said to me, ‘You do drugs, I’ll kill you.’ Aside from Erin, everybody on that show, as far as I know, I never saw drugs or alcohol. I just, there was no reason for me to do it. My parents set me right, that’s the best thing you could have.”
Perhaps he should have just left it with “My sincerest condolences.”

– The High-Kick wine started with a dream over a year ago. A dream to enjoy my own premium Venetian rosé, a gorgeous bottle that symbolizes everything that I love about this life. The bottle-design itself was a real pain, endless discussions with the glass specialists about its unusual shape – it had to be this exact shape I told them and pointed at my detailed drawings! They told me it would cost too much, I told them to continue trying, that I refuse everything but perfection. I look at it now, with the bridge of Ponte Vecchio behind it in the sunset, the reflection in it, and I hope you can agree with me it’s pretty darn good looking? 
– It’s no secret I’ve always been obsessed with rosé wine, so when creating my own it had to be absolutely perfect. Everything about it. It had to be light, almost weightless, fresh and elegant with a hint of strawberries and citrus. The fruit was so important, and so difficult to achieve, the perfect balance between dry and sweet, the grapes coming together like magic. I wanted something from celebrations up in mega-penthouses in New York, to grilling by the pond with the dogs running freely in Connecticut, to be able to share it served cold with the best of friends in exotic locations all over the world. 
– I’m so incredibly happy with the final result, the color, the gold leaf packaging, the heavy bottle, a liquid piece of me and my dreams. The first limited batch of 12,000 bottles went online yesterday and most likely won’t last beyond the weekend unfortunately. We are now producing more, a lot more, which will be available in more countries soon, I promise. I apologize in advance that not everyone will be able to order at this moment in time. But remember, these first bottles were made with a lot of high-kicking love, really and truly.
