Adrian Kozakiewicz, 20, the self-described largest insect breeder in Europe, has amassed a loyal Instagram following due to the big, colorful bugs he photographs… on his face.
“I show only exceptional insects, ones that most people aren’t familiar with,” he says. “That + on your face = viral gold.”

The 20-year-old travels the world hunting exotic insects, which he keeps in his insect room in Karlsruhe, Germany. He owns around 600 insects and other creepy-crawlies in all, representing 70 species of every size, color, and eeek factor. “I love insects because of their amazing diversity and appearance,” he says. “There are species adapted to every habitat in the world, in the way they live and their camouflage.”
Kozakiewicz began breeding insects at just 10 years old. He visits Asia three or four times each year, searching to track down nocturnal creatures in the rainforests of Thailand, Malaysia, and Laos. Once home, he breeds his bugs in bottles, plastic boxes, and terrariums, and sells the offspring to zoos and bug dealers or trades them to fellow collectors. Most of whom, you can safety say, do not display them on their face.
Cute, but I think I’ll love him from afar.

Last week, when it seemed the entire WORLD went berserk over those goddamn Unicorn Frappuccinos, I know there a few jaded queens out there sneering and wishing for something a little more… goth. Well, your prayers have been answered. Now there is an almond-charcoal flavored soft serve ice cream that’s as black as your soul. It’s being served by the Little Damage Ice Cream Shop in Los Angeles, California, and to say these “villainous delicacies” have exploded on Instagram is an understatement.
No word yet on what t tastes like (charcoal? almond? hmmmm) but if you were able to gulp down that Unicorn Vomit I’m sure you’ll be fine. (via Bored Panda)

Michael Mantenuto, best known for his role in Disney’s 2004 drama Miracle, has died. He was 35.
HuffPo reports was found in his car by police after reportedly sustaining a self-inflicted gunshot wound yesterday afternoon in Des Moines, Washington.
Mantenuto, a former University of Maine hockey player, got his big break playing the real-life figure Jack O’Callahan in “Miracle,” which depicts the events surrounding 1980 Winter Olympics. O’Callahan was part of the winning American hockey team that unexpectedly bested the Soviet Union in a game that became known as the “Miracle on Ice.”
He went on to appear in the 2006 TV movie Dirtbags and 2008’s Surfer, Dude. He then later left Hollywood to enlist in the Army.
Says Col. Guillaume “Will” Beaurpere of the U.S. Army’s 1st Special Forces Group in a news release:
“Those of you that knew Mike will remember him for his passionate love for his family and his commitment to the health of the force,” he said.
Mantenuto is survived by his wife and his two children.
