Alec Baldwin Tweets To a Despondent Kathy Griffin, “F*ck Them. F*ck Them All.”

Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin has used Twitter to offer some words of comfort to under-fire comedian Kathy Griffin. Griffin has faced a backlash last week after she posed with a bloody mask depicting Trump’s head. At an emotional press conference on Friday, she slammed members of the Trump family for subsequently bullying her on social media.

But soon after, Baldwin tweeted Griffin in support,

“Kathy… fuck them. Fuck them all

No 1 believes u meant 2 threaten Trump

Trump is such a senile idiot, all he has is Twitter fights.”

What he said.

Baldwin recalls a backlash he experience in ’98, when he sparked outrage for a joke about killing the now late Republican Henry Hyde on Late Night With Conan O’Brien.

Comedy takes no prisoners, and like in baseball, there’s no crying.

FOX News Doesn’t Think Wonder Woman Is “American” Enough

Today in idiotic controversies: FOX host Neil Cavuto noted to his guest Dion Baia that “some people” have been taking issue with Wonder Woman’s lack of patriotism — namely, that her costume color scheme is too un-American.

“Some are calling it less American, Dion, because, well, her outfit isn’t red, white, and blue, and, in order to appeal for foreign audiences, very little reference to America at all,” said the “Your World With Neil Cavuto” host.

“I think, nowadays, sadly, money trumps patriotism,” Baia replied. “Especially, recently, I personally feel like we’re not really very patriotic, the country, in a certain sense. And they want these movies to succeed internationally, you know, so they’re going to dial back.”

Fellow guest Mike Gunzelman lamented that he feels “it’s cool to hate America these days.”

Are you kidding me?

Let’s glide by the obvious facts that one: She’s not a real person and two: This not-real character is from the not-real island nation of Thermyscira. So: NOT AMERICAN. But she does help the Americans fight against the Germans in World War I. Which is pretty damn patriotic. And while her updated new suit lacks the little white stars that her ’70s predecessor had (see below), it still has a golden eagle on her chest which reads as American to me.

What goes on over at FOX that they thought his was worth making an issue out of? I mean, really. (via HuffPo)

7 Standout Moments from Yesterday’s One Love Manchester Concert

It was a triumph for the newly beatified Ariana Grande, who is probably the most beloved celebrity on the planet right now, god bless her, after raising $3.4 million at yesterday’s One Love concert in Manchester. There were many, many standout moments from what ended up being a very cathartic evening featuring dozens of the biggest stars in the world. I’ve listed seven below.

This one goes without saying: anytime anyone with a good set of pipes belts out this classic, tears will flow. Ariana absolutely nails it.

Robbie Williams, who is beyond legendary in the UK and strangely only a footnote here in the US, sings his biggest hit, “Angels,” and gets so choked up he can’t finish. The crowd, though, comes to the rescue and the ensuing group effort is heartbreaking and beautiful.

It’s become the Manchester hometown anthem in the days since the attack, and Ariana and Chris Martin more than do it justice here.

Katy belts out a rousing rendition of “Roar,” and gives it a whole new meaning.

This one s just very special. Ariana performs with a children’s choir and sums up why the evening was so magical.

It was the penultimate song of the evening (she ended with “Over the Rainbow”), and got most of the evening’s performers behind her as she belted the “One Last Time.”

And finally, one of my favorite songs of all time, Crowded House’s 1986 “Don’t Dream It’s Over, beautifully covered here by Ariana and Miley Cyrus. They could absolutely release this as a single.

The High Life: Chicago Area Papa John’s Sells Extra Fun Toppings on their Pizzas that Get Them All Busted

A Chicago-area Papa John’s pizza joint was offering more than just crazy crusts and garlic bread with their delivery service. The King County Sheriff Office and Sammamish Police Department said they arrested five workers during a sting operation nicknamed “Operation Extra Olives,” in which investigators discovered $28,000 in cash, plus pills, cocaine, pot, and meth in the cash register.

“Papa John’s has zero tolerance for this type of offensive and illegal behavior,” said Papa John’s Pizza in a statement. “Furthermore, food safety and sanitation is of the utmost importance to Papa John’s. The franchisee took immediate action steps, with Health Department oversight, and the location was cleared to reopen.”

Reminds me of the Jack-In-the-Box in my neighborhood that used to sell meth out of its drive-through window. The lines to get a “breakfast meal deal” at 5AM stretched two blocks. Good times, good times.

#BornThisDay: Sandra Bernhard

June 6, 1955Sandra Bernhard:

“My father was a proctologist and my mother was an abstract artist, so that’s how I view the world.”

I am just crazy for her, although if I have had a little too much medical marijuana, I sometimes get her mixed up with 19th century French actor Sarah Bernhardt.

We live in such troubled times, when a provocative, outrageous female comic who has long been the best friend of LGBTQ people for decades is suddenly persona non grata for a satire, referencing classical art, that takes on the man who wants to ruin everything good about the USA, I just want to give-up. We live in the age of outrage. It is exhausting me.

On Ladies’ Choice, the November 10, 1992 episode in Season Five of Roseanne (1988-1997), Roseanne’s friend Nancy, played by Bernhard, comes out of the closet. This was a television milestone with Nancy becoming the first regular lesbian character in a sitcom. 15 years earlier, Billy Crystal was a television pioneer with role as a gay guy, Jodie Dallas, on the ABC sitcom Soap (1977-1981). But, there wasn’t much other gay stuff going on in television.

Bernhard went from showbiz’s best kept secret to a household name during the half-decade that she and Madonna were best friends. She even made an appearance in Madonna’s documentary Truth Or Dare (1991). Those crazy girls were always teasing the press and the fans about a romantic relationship. So, Bernhard’s role on Roseanne wasn’t that hard for gay fans to understand. But, the rest of America probably wasn’t quite ready.

With Roseanne and Morgan Fairchild on Roseanne
Photograph by ABC Photo Archives

Roseanne was a perfect reflection of its star, and it was a true breakout show when it came to gay characters.  At the luncheonette where Roseanne’s character worked, she had a gay boss, Leon, played by Martin Mull who had a boyfriend Scott (Fred Willard). In a famous episode, they had a wedding ceremony. However, the biggest deal was when Bernhard’s  character Nancy had a girlfriend, played by Mariel Hemingway, who kissed Roseanne at a gay bar in the episode in Season Six,  Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. ABC, fearing viewer and sponsor backlash, initially planned not to air the episode. The network executives said: “A woman cannot kiss a woman. It is bad for the kids to see.” ABC said that they stood to lose up to $1 million in advertising revenue. In response, Barr threatened to move her series, then one of the most popular on television, to another network. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) urged ABC to air the kiss uncensored, while the conservative Christian groups declared the episode was an insult to American families. ABC ended up not only airing the episode uncensored, they specifically promoted it as “The Lesbian Kiss Episode”.

Gay actor Sara Gilbert as Darlene Conner: (Roseanne tells Darlene that Nancy is gay) “Whoa! How did you find out? Did she tell you?”

Roseanne: “No. We saw the, “I’m a Big Ol’ Dyke” bumbersticker on her car.”

Pretty progressive for the blue-collar heartland! At the end of Ladies’ Choice not only has Nancy come out, but Roseanne’s mother, Bev, deliciously played by the great Estelle Parsons comes out of the closet too:

Bev (after she learns Nancy is a gay): “Of course she’s a lesbian! I’m a lesbian! You’re a lesbian! We’re all lesbians!”

Bernhard said this week that she was available and willing to rejoin the original cast as Nancy in this fall’s reboot of Roseanne. Write ABC a letter. Let’s make that happen!

I have never seen Sarah Bernhardt live; I’m not that old, but I have seen Bernhard perform live six times (that I remember, who knows about those crazy 1980s), including a non-concert Q & A session at the University Of Washington in the mid-1990s. She never disappoints.

Bernhard gives us hysterical insights and outspoken, hilarious diatribes on the state of modern culture with a smart Rock N’ Roll attitude, fresh, crazy and real. She inspires and invigorates me. She is a model, actor, comedian, singer, Playboy centerfold, and writer; and honey, she is looking so fine at 62-years-old.

Bernhard has staying power. 35 years after she broke out with her Off-Broadway show, Without You I’m Nothing, Bernhard’s special thing stays with me. Mouthy, and sometimes obnoxious, I have loved her from the beginning of her career when I spotted her as a supporting player on The Richard Pryor Show in 1977. I was always excited to see her guest appearances on evening talk shows. I was over the moon for her performance as stalker and kidnapper Masha in the Martin Scorsese flick The King Of Comedy (1983) for which she won the National Society Of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress. Bernhard also won the prestigious Worst Supporting Female Award for Hudson Hawk (1991) from the Golden Raspberry Awards. That’s quite the awards shelf; she also won a GLAAD Media Award in 2002, and this week she picks-up a Gracie Award, named after comic great Gracie Allen, from the Alliance For Women In Media for her radio show, Sandyland, on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy. My friend, World Of Wonder writer Trey Speegle was her special guest on her show last year.

I own all her books, including a signed copy of her fragile, raw, daring, brilliant May I Kiss You On The Lips Miss Sandra? (1999). She has also written articles for Vanity Fair, People, Rolling Stone, Elle, and Spin.

In 2012, I caught Bernhard’s show Sandrology, a mix of vocals, cabaret, burlesque, political and social commentary, plus some stream of consciousness. It had a big old-school show charm with an amazing rock band and great songs.

Fierce, tender, confrontational, yet vulnerable, Bernhard is funny, philosophical and always controversial. Isn’t that what we want from our funny women?

“l’ll take on somebody if they’re offending the entire culture, not just offending me.”

She absolutely should get that gig in Time Square with Anderson Cooper on New Year’s Eve. My sources tell me there is an opening. I also feel she would be a smart choice to replace her friend Bette Midler in Hello, Dolly! in 2018. Can you dig it?

Bernhard and gay actor/playwright Harvey Fierstein share a birthday today. I want them both to come for cocktails in the fort in my back garden this summer. That would be a whole bunch of Big Jewish Gay fun at brunch.

Bernhard lives in LA and NYC with her longtime partner Sara Switzer and their teenage daughter Cicely Yasin Bernhard who is now home for the summer from college.

“I think bravery is when you’re willing to really put yourself on the line and maybe lose out, financially and be able to say exactly what motivates you and what inspires you and what you find completely unacceptable in humanity and in culture.”

#Kiss4LGBTQRights: Gay Couples Are Tagging Themselves at the Kremlin in Support of Chechnya

Hundreds of gay couples all over the world have uploaded photos of themselves kissing and then tagged themselves as being at the Kremlin in Moscow.

The Brazilian social justice project [SSEX BBOX] – an abbreviation of ‘Sexuality Outside The Box’ – started the movement on Instagram under the hashtag #kiss4lgbtqrights.

“To offer multiple perspectives on sexuality and gender.”

They were called to action by the gay purge in Chechnya, which has seen more than 100 men detained, tortured and killed.

[SSEX BBOX] started the campaign because it wanted to create the biggest kiss in the world….

“In Brazil, despite the enormous violence against the LGBTQIA population, we can fight for our rights.

“But our community in Russia can not and therefore needs our help.”

Although Brazil legalised same-sex marriage in 2013 and hosts the world’s largest Pride celebration, LGBTQ attacks are sadly common.

A survey earlier this year found that one LGBT person was killed every 25 hours in Brazil throughout 2016.

“In Russia, LGBTQIAs are being shut up by the Putin government. TThe LGBTQIA Parade has been banned by law for 100 years! And freedom of expression is increasingly restricted.

Therefore, we will make the biggest digital kiss in the world at the place where public protests of LGBTQIA get people throw in jail: the Moscow Kremlin.”

#LGBTQPrideMonth: A History Lesson, The Mattachine Society

$

From Manuscripts And Archives, The NY Public Library

POTUS has broken with tradition and refused to recognize June as LGBTQ Pride Month with one of his snazzy executive orders. Every President has done it since William Jefferson Clinton in 1994. The current President did manage to endorse celebrations like Buy A Home Month, National Ocean Month and African-American Music Appreciation Month, ironic since he has made it more difficult to buy a house, easier to pollute the water, and he thinks that African-American Music is what he heard Dr. Ben Carson listens to in the car. Hey, we love Soul Music and the beach too. But, Potus is not feeling our Pride.

The Wow Report never lets anyone, not even someone big and orange, spoil our celebration. So here is a little LGBTQ History, for you kids:

The Mattachine Society was formed in 1950 by social reformer Harry Hay, a former Communist. He had the idea of forming a national organization to fight for rights for homosexuals. At first, he failed to attract any members. Then one evening in November 1950, Hay and his lover, Fashion Icon Rudi Gernreich, who was already involved in Gay Rights Movements in Germany, hosted Dale Jennings, and a gay couple, Chuck Rowland and Bob Hull, to their house in LA.  That night they held the first meeting of the Society Of Fools, later renamed The Mattachine Society.

Hay said that the wanted to create: “A service and welfare organization devoted to the improvement of society’s androgynous minority”.

They were off to a rough start because it was formed by a group of communists in the era of The House Committee On Un-American Activities (HUAC) where Senator Joseph McCarthy showed the public his disdain for gay people. Members of the Mattachine Society were taking considerable risks by belonging to such a group. During that time, homosexuality was punishable in California with sentenced of 20 years in prison and/or treatment centers at state hospitals.

The Original Group

The Mattachine Society’s Goals:

Unify homosexuals isolated from their own kind

Educate homosexuals and heterosexuals toward an ethical homosexual culture paralleling cultures of the Negro, Mexican and Jewish peoples

Lead the more socially conscious homosexual to provide leadership to the whole mass of social deviates

Assist gays who are victimized daily because of oppression

The Mattachine Society approach was quite radical: introduce gays and lesbians to mainstream society. Despite the risk, their numbers grew. The LA chapter had 200 people and other chapters began to pop up in other cities in California, and in Washington DC and New York. They protested outside government buildings, held seminars, and affiliated themselves with other gay groups that started later. They were men only, but they also helped launch The Ladder, a magazine published by The Daughters Of Bilits, their lesbian counterpart.

In the Spring of 1952, Jennings was arrested by an undercover cop for solicitation in a public park. The Mattachine Society decided to contest the arrest in court, enlisting an attorney. George Sibley of the Citizens’ Council To Outlaw Entrapment defended Jennings in court. During this era, gay guys usually just plead guilty to escape public attention. Jennings declared that he was gay indeed, but that he was not guilty of the charge. The court case was long, but Jennings finally won when the trial resulted in a deadlocked jury, and the case was dismissed. It was the first time a gay man had stood up to police entrapment in court and walked away. The trial attracted more membership to The Mattachine Society.

In 1953, Hay and the other founders started to lose control of their organization. Other gay people did not like the term “social deviates” used in its bi-laws. They were also fearful of the founders’ Communist connections. They feared for their jobs by their association with Hay and friends. The founders and the new leadership took a less militant approach, suggesting that members assimilate into mainstream culture. They adopted a non-confrontational policy. Membership decreased.

Although Mattachine Society officially disbanded in 1961, many chapters continued into the late 1960s. After the Stonewall Riots in August 1969, new groups went back to a more militant stance, giving birth to Gay Activist Alliance and Gay Liberation Front in the 1970s.

The Mattachine Society is important to LGBTQ History because of the considerable bravery it took to be out of the closet in a time when being gay could get you arrested and cause you to lose your job. It was a way for gays to feel less isolated and find others of their own kind. They were the first gays in America to really organize. POTUS needs to declare a Mattachine Society Day.

The Mattachine Society took its name from a French Renaissance Group called Societe Mattachine. They were a band of men who went from town to town in masks, holding parties and peasant protests during the Feast Of Fools April 1st). They denounced the political conduct of the French Monarchy.

19th Century Kinky Pictures: Would They Be Scandalous Today?

Richard Fridolin Joseph Freiherr Krafft Von Festenberg Auf Frohnberg, Genannt Von Ebing (1840-1902), or as I call him, “Krafty”, was a German psychiatrist, who wrote under the name Richard Von Krafft-Ebing.

In 1886, Krafft-Ebing published a book, Psychopathia Sexualis: Eine Klinisch-Forensische Studie (Sexual Psychopathy: A Clinical-Forensic Study), which featured 238 case histories of interesting human sexual behavior.

This book was one of the first to use the terms “Sadism”, derived from the brutal sexual practices depicted in the novels of Marquis de Sade, and “Masochism”, named for Leopold von Sacher-Masoch). He shortened it to “S&M” because it fit better on a tee-shirt. Krafft-Ebing also came up with the word “Anilingus”, although I have no idea what it means; isn’t it Ireland’s national airline?. He sold the film rights to Psychopathia Sexualis, and Channing Tatum had once been attached to the project, but it appears to be in turnaround.

P/S was one of the very first books that looked at and used the words “Homosexuality” and “Bisexuality”. The term “heterosexual” is used too, but not in any way that is interesting or entertaining.

Krafft-Ebing thought that sex and sexual desire were only to be part of procreation and that any form of recreational hook-up was a perversion of the sex drive. “Don’t spill it if you are not going use it”, Krafty always said. He thought gay sex was especially sicko because gay sex could not result in children. He could never have known that in the 21st century, gay sex plus a good adoption agency could make a baby.

Krafft-Ebing was never the less fascinated with any sort of sexual kink or aberration; enough to fill a big book. He had a very dirty mind. He also had a very unusual photograph collection. He showed them to me and I was able to scan a few so I could share them with you. I don’t think they are all that kinky, but they are certainly kicky, and the models seemed to be having fun.

JayJay Kings

Age
: 27

Location: Toronto, Canada

About:

“I’ve always said, growing up, I was a weird art kid who lived inside his head. I used drawing, painting, and writing, as my way of expressing myself…as angry little gay boy living in small town. When I moved to Toronto, I surrounded myself with people who found expression in new avenues like hair, fashion and makeup. Shortly after moving, I was asked to model for five designers at F.A.T., Fashion Art Toronto week, and that’s when I first started expressing myself as this gender blur!

Visually, I love seeing extreme makeup. I remember watching TV and seeing a documentary about Michael Alig, James St. James and the club kids and it all clicked. I’ve always been a sucker for edgy, fishy, club kid queens. So, when I’m on Instagram, that’s what I get lost in… looking at it for hours. For myself, however, I hate painting super-structured feminine looks, because I find myself somewhere in the middle. I look at my face and see angles, and shapes and that is what inspires most of my looks. I love the mixture of super soft-blended colors with harsh flat shapes. As for what’s next, I just finished walking for 11 designers at this season of F.A.T., and work as a visual merchandising manager/influencer. I’d love to move to NYC/LA to expand my makeup portfolio and continue to push myself with my expression.”

K-Pop Superstar T.O.P. of Big Bang Hospitalized After Suspected Drug Overdose

One of the most beautiful, stylish, and talented men on the planet, K-Pop legend T.O.P. from the band Big Bang, was reportedly found unconscious from an apparent drug overdose and has been receiving treatment at an intensive care unit in a Seoul hospital. The group’s agency YG Entertainment confirmed to the Korea Herald on Tuesday that the 29-year-old singer, whose real name is Choi Seung Hyun, had apparently overdosed on tranquilizers he had been taking for medical reasons, according to police.

A source from YG said, “T.O.P has been taken to the Intensive Care Unit and is receiving intensive care. He normally takes tranquilizers, but according to the police he took more than usual this time.”

The source continued, “We are still checking whether or not he has regained consciousness yet. Please wait for developments.”

From Cosmopolitan:

T.O.P.’s hospitalization comes off the heels of a marijuana scandal. He was officially charged last Wednesday for smoking the substance, which is illegal in South Korea, with a 22-year-old female singer at his home in Seoul last October. The charge puts his mandatory two-year military service in jeopardy; he temporarily left Big Bang in February to begin his service, which must be completed before the age of 35. The Korean military police issued a statement on the indictment, noting, “There is a law that states a soldier can be expelled if he is not fit to fulfill his duties. We will soon be ordering him to leave the division.”

In 2008, T.O.P. was also hospitalized after what was heavily rumoured (and fiercely denied by YG) to be a suicide attempt.

Here’s hoping he has a speedy recovery.

It’s a Look: Socialite Di Mondo Wears… Something… Feathery… to the CFDA Awards

Di Mondo, whom the New York Times once dubbed “The Most Photographed Man in New York,” made the red carpet his BITCH last night at the CFDA awards. A difficult feat, considering the number of style superstars who were also there. He stole the show wearing… well, I’m not quite sure what he was wearing. It seems to be a bedazzled and bejeweled men’s jacket that segued into an ostrich feather miniskirt with a ginormous train and… sheer trousers? He kind of loses me with the sheer trousers. But let’s take a closer look.

Sooooo…. what do you think? Would you boldly rock it at the next Drag Race viewing party? Or would you take it out behind the barn and shoot it?

Other looks to look for last night included Diane Kruger, Meg Ryan, Bella Hadid, Alek Wek, and Sara Sampaio:

How NASA Makes Astronaut Pee into Drinkable Water

Apparently the cost of transporting water to the International Space Station is so cost-prohibitive ― $48,000 per liter! ― that NASA engineers have had to find cheaper ways of taking it into space. And I’ll give you one guess as to what that cheaper way is…

According to America’s Secret Space Heroes, a documentary series airing Sundays on the Smithsonian Channel, NASA scientists have discovered the elusive method of turning pee into potable drinking water. It involves spinning it around really, really fast and… well, I’ll let NASA engineer Jennifer Pruett explain:

“This whole part is the centrifuge that’ll spin. So the urine will be sprayed out along the back wall as it spins,” she said. “The heavy dense fluid will stick to the wall and the lighter steam as it evaporates out will be sucked through the centre through that mesh onto the next part of the system.”

The end result is what she calls “good clean urine distillate” that gets put into a water processor for further filtration before the astronauts actually consume it.

Yes, Sharon Needles Went There: Performs “Heads Will Roll” Dressed as Kathy Griffin

God bless Sharon Needles. Never one to shy away from controversy, the Drag Race season 4 winner appeared onstage last night dressed as Kathy Griffin, holding a bloody Trump head, and performing the Yeah Yeah Yeah‘s classic “Heads Will Roll.”

Watch below.

The backstory: Sharon had just gotten off the plane after a 14-hour trip from Tel Aviv. Even though she was exhausted, she wanted to do something special at the local bar, P Town, where she performs every Monday (when she’s available). Quickly styling a red Joan Rivers wig into a Kathy Griffin ‘do, and bloodying up an old Owen Wilson head she had lying around her house of horrors, she was off and running. “It’s kind of mind boggling the levels to this story,” she says. “that a female comic in this day and age, who was a friend of Joan Rivers, and who was on Celebrity Apprentice with our president, is subjected to this type of abuse. I mean… if only Joan was still around. And the fact that we don’t hold our male politicians o the same standard as female comedians is shocking… “

Trump Gives Jared Kushner the Kiss of Death: “He’s Actually Become Much More Famous than Me”

President Trump quipped today that his son-in-law/senior adviser, Jared Kushner, has “become more famous than me” after appearing on the cover of last week’s edition of Time.

Uh-oh.

Trump made the remark while greeting Republican congressional leaders and White House staff before a meeting on his legislative agenda.

“Jared has actually become much more famous than me — I’m a little upset at that,” Trump said, prompting the room to erupt in laughter.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) turned to Kushner and said, “That’s a badge of honor.” Kushner smiled but did not respond, according to a reporter in the room.

Of course, the last time Trump uttered those words, it didn’t end well for the person he said them to.

During a reception for law enforcement officials two days after his inauguration, Trump singled out James Comey, saying, “he’s become more famous than me,” before calling him over for a handshake and hug.

Kind of like a mob boss giving the kiss of death, eh?

The true-crime story is one that captivated the nation back in 1993 when the trial aired on TV; so much so that it is still talked about to this day.

The film chronicles the events while giving some insight into the brothers side of the story. Famously, Erik & Lyle used the defense that their father abused them, while their mother ignored it all throughout the years.

The film, directed by Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, aims to explore that claim and more. Of the movie, Lifetime explains the premise:

“Based on the true story, the movie explores the inner lives and motivation behind the murders of entertainment executive Jose Menendez and his wife Kitty at the hands of their sons Lyle and Erik in 1989. The movie will also reveal new details about the extreme abuse the brothers endured at their father’s hands, all while their mother looked the other way.”

Sounds intriguing, right?

Well, we got the chance to catch up with Benito Martinez to chat about filming Menendez: Blood Brothers, what it was like to play Jose Menendez, probably the most divisive character in the film/events, and so much MORE!

Check out our EXCLUSIVE interview with Benito below!

Chelsea Perrotty: What was the hardest scene for you to film in Menendez: Blood Brothers?

Benito Martinez: That’s a tough question… Physically, it was the shark fishing scene because it was freezing and raining and we were on a boat! Add to that a mechanical shark, rubber bat and old life vests and, well, it was very challenging.

Emotionally, it was when my character walks into his child’s room with the motivation of destruction and evil, pure evil.

CP: How hard was it for you to find something to relate to about your character?

BM: Somewhat difficult, I will admit.  I approached it as ‘the showman’ and grew from there. Jose was a big-wig and very successful in the Hollywood of the 80’s: sex, drugs, padded shoulders, big hair, big fashion and big… well everything! “Greed is good!”, remember?

I saw him as the guy who sucks up all the air in the room at every party, every meeting; thinks he has the best advice and flirts with all the ladies but, of course, doesn’t ask anyone else how THEY might be feeling or what they think. He needs to be the center of attention, but the people around him (especially his family) have to be spectators and accomplices to that “greatness.”

We built everything from there and fashioned a ruthless man who had become intoxicated with this power-at-all-costs persona. He was psychotic and dangerous and evil… “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters” sound familiar?

And yet all that “power” and destruction is really rooted in his deep fear and insecurity and so the threat of him losing any of that perceived control became the ultimate battle within the family.

CP: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show that you love?

BM: That’s an odd question… Hmm. I’m guessing you mean a show that I wouldn’t necessarily admit to watching, right? I can’t think of one! HA!

CP: In your own words, why should people watch Menendez: Blood Brothers on Sunday night?

BM: To be entertained! Hopefully, they’ll be enthralled by a suspenseful and complex story – a story that they thought they knew and understood but now told in a new and different way.

This story is so heartbreaking on every level. To examine this family from Beverly Hills that seemed to have had it all – money, fame, success, great family values – and yet something was horribly rotten at its core. Really, along the lines of a Greek tragedy where we grow to care about the players and then watch hopelessly as the inevitable fearful ending plays out…

It’s mesmerizing and terrifying – and yet all of this THIS REALLY HAPPENED! It’s crazy!

CP: If you had to Lip Sync for Your Life, like on RuPaul’s Drag Race, what would be your song of choice?

BM: Oh my god! How hilarious! Um, I guess it would be a song from the musical ‘Grease’… ‘Stranded at the Drive-In’? Or ‘Grease Lighting’!

Be sure to tune in to Menendez: Blood Brothers on Sunday, June 11 at 8/7c on Lifetime!

Are you getting out of your comfort zone? . Are you pushing yourself to a point that feels unpleasant? . Are you repeatedly putting yourself in situations that challenge you and force you to overcome them? . Well, you should be. . I've realized that bodybuilding is a lot like life. If you want to grow, you are required to experience discomfort. The more discomfort, the more you grow. Resistance=Growth. . The moment we get comfortable and stop providing that resistance, we stop growing. . Imagine how amazing and well-rounded of a person you could become if you got out of your comfort zone once a day and did something that used to be "off limits" to you. . Inside and outside of the gym, I challenge you to do things that are difficult and to create a personal environment where nothing is off limits. . If you've made it this far in the caption, comment what you're going to do this week that is out of your comfort zone. Maybe commenting something personal on my post is something you wouldn't normally do… great, you've already got a head start! . Let's get better together! .

He first came to the internet’s attention in a Twitter post being referred to as “Tree Man” and it stuck. His real name is Danny Jones but Tree Man fits. He’s a 6’7″ personal trainer on Instagram as @dannyjonesfitness. When he poses next to doors or hangs over a railing you can see how HUGE he really is. THOSE THIGHS!

Well, if you ask me, he needs his own superhero franchise.

“The Sexcitng Adventures of Tree Man!”

Hey, Marvel, are you listening…?

😂😂These are making my day #treemancontinues
