Adore Delano goes 80s glam in new vid for single Give Me Tonight, snatched in neon, big off-the-shoulder blouses, and even BIGGER hair! Some of you X Gens (and millennial retrovistas) might remember the original hi-energy version of this by Shannon  back-in-the-day. It was a HUGE club hit…pretty much played in every gay bar (still does in the Midwest…LOL).

 

“Give Me Tonight has always been one of my favorite songs,” says Delano. “I remember listening to it as a teenager, imagining I lived in the movie Party Monster. I’ve had feelings of desperation and numbness from failed relationships. The end of a passionate love affair is often devastating, no matter if you are the dumper or dumpee.”

Madonna posted this picture of a Jewish man about to kiss a Muslim man on Instagram and fans argued the singing superstar was triggering people of faith, knowing they would be upset by the picture. Others said it was a positive message and should be celebrated. One commented:

“Islam doesn’t support homosexuality and if someone doesn’t like that then they don’t have to be Muslim. Its that’s simple.”

Another added:

“I don’t understand all the ppl here say it’s not possible I’m Jewish from Israel my boyfriend is Arab Muslim and we live together for 3 years now!”

During her Confessions tour, Madge had two male dancers on stage during Forbidden Love, one painted with a Muslim star and crescent on his chest and the other had a Star of David. While they appear to battle throughout the song, they embrace at the end. Trolls complain that she’s always causing controversy when it’s time to go on tour or sell albums, but she been doing this for 30 years. No, it’s not just a Material Girl or Pretty Girls, Rebel Heart actually means something in the world.

As you may have heard, President Obama finally has his own Twitter account after 6 years. He has nearly 2 million followers, as of last look. His first Tweet:

“Hello, Twitter! It’s Barack. Really! Six years in, they’re finally giving me my own account.”

But the racist trolls didn’t waste any time showing their true colors. For your disgust, here are just a few of the “welcome” messages our President received on his newly-created personal account. If this is not a clear enough sign that Barack Obama has been dealing with for 6 years, I don’t know what is…?

I know – revolting. I have a point in showing these threats and hatred he received here:
1. it’s surely the minority, most response is positive
2. threats are taken VERY seriously…

So far, there’s no evidence just yet on what happens when users tweet threats directly to Obama. But there’s a precedent of people ending up behind bars for contacting The White House directly with a threat. Threatening the President of the United States is a specific crime, carrying a maximum penalty of five years in prison and $250,000 in fines. The Secret Service even has a dedicated team called the Internet Threat Desk. A Texas woman named Teddy Bear Paradise (no joke) was sentenced to almost two years for mailing Obama a letter promising to kill him, for example, and New York’s Christine Wright-Darrisaw got almost three years for calling the White House and describing to a staffer in detail how she’d kill the President. So, unlike trashing Kim Kardashian or even other elected official, these guys might just get a surprise knock on their door.

But there’s at least one person who thinks the @POTUS account is great – former POTUS Bill Clinton. He Tweeted, to which the current POTUS shot back:

Final 3 Spoiler Alert!: You know I write for The Wow Report every day (I hope) and I’ve known the guys who run the whole operation for decades, but in terms of RuPaul’s Drag Race and insider details, I’m WAY out of the loop. World of Wonder has LOTS of top secret projects in the works, some never see the light of day, but being in New York while they are all on Hollywood Blvd. keeps me pretty clueless.

Having said that, I feel I can comment on Season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in an unbiased manner. I’ve watched these queens, just like you, at home, GAGGING! I’ve seen comments of World of Wonder’s Facebook page about each eliminated contestant and how it was the WRONG decision, but I’ve gotta say, looking back over all of them, and all of the past winner, RuPaul knows what she’s doing. Winning the crown becomes a bigger and bigger deal with each passing year and yet, unlike some shows (The Voice) we do tend to hear from the stand-outs of each season after the show ends, and many times those are not the top three either. RPDR is a family. I went to the launch/preview party in New York this year and watched each girl do their thing before a tough New York crowd. Actually, they weren’t so tough, they LOVED them all. Were there stand-outs that night? I won’t lie… Pearl is a NYC gal, so she had her supporters for sure, and if there was a “Most Improved” of the season, she’d surely get it. (Don’t call me Shirley…) Plus, as a boy she’s one of the cutest RPDR contestant ever – amirite? But no one that performed night fell flat… they can ALL entertain. My favorite of the season has been Ginger Minj all along and it started that night. (You can ask my friend Dimitri.) Ginger just charms the pants off any crowd….and Violet Chachki clearly has got her sickening looks down PAT. However, in the beginning she was NOT the most conegenial in the workroom, but managed to turn that all around, huh? We’ve seen real growth and some KILLER challenges, sickening runways and guest judges. (John Waters. Hello!? Does it get better than that?)

So, my money is on the Minj, but you know it doesn’t matter. It’s NOT a democracy, it’s a kingdom – and we KNOW who the Queen is. So, who do YOU think will win? You can post your fave on World of Wonder’s Facbook page…

A new extended trailer for the Amy Winehouse documentary was released earlier this week, showing clips of Amy with her friends and ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil. Amy’s family have already spoken out against the film calling it misleading, and her ex Reg Traviss wrote a vehement article for the telegraph describing the doc as an orchestrated spin that didn’t capture her true character.

“Amy was a real person, and what the documentary makers have done – like so many others before them – is effectively attack her. They claimed to have made a serious, unbiased documentary that presents an honest depiction of Amy. Instead, they have taken her name and exploited her talent for their own ends, without taking the responsibility of reflecting the true person that she was.” –Reg Travis via Telegraph 

“Amy” premiered at Cannes this week and will be released in theaters on Friday, July 3rd.
