Everyone seems to be confused about the Kevin Hart cover for The Hollywood Reporter shot by Martin Schoeller. My ex-boss, THR’s former editor, now Chief Creative Officer, Janice Min tweeted:
“Kevin Hart shirtless and in gigantic white wig somehow makes sense on new @thr cover, shot by Martin Schoeller”
But USA Today was scratching their collective heads:
“The Hollywood Reporter‘s cover image of Kevin Hart makes no sense, despite what editor-in-chief Janice Min says. So, it’s ‘The Reign of Kevin Hart’ — which is true — and we suppose that puffed-up cloud of a wig is supposed to be an allusion to, like, Marie Antoinette, or whomever. But, why is he shirtless? And how come there’s no other royal imagery? Or anything to tell us what it’s all supposed to mean? Just … what?”
