Hands down, the most fun I’ve had all day. Happy Toast has been posting hundreds of pictures of Donald Trump pulling colorful noseflags from his nostrils. “Ever notice that funny hand gesture Donald makes and the faces he pulls?” Writes HappyToast. “I did and I thought he must be pulling invisible flags out of his nose. And, lo, #NoseFlags was born. Since then, literally millions of people have been laughing with me.”

There are even t-shirts, throw pillows, phone cases, travel mugs, tote bags, stickers and more available at RedBubble

Kanye Has Meltdown, Fires Entire Staff After His Disastrous Yeezy Fashion Show

After the unmitigated disaster that was last summer’s Yeezy fashion show (in which dehydrated models dropped like flies), Kanye West apparently had a “massive meltdown” and fired all his staff.

According to Page Six:

“He had his agent fire all 30 of his staff after the fashion show and got rid of his phone so people can only contact him via email,” an insider said. “He had a nervous breakdown after the show, and that’s what triggered it all.”

Other sources are more diplomatic:

Another insider close to the situation insisted that while Kanye wasn’t happy, “He didn’t have a ‘nervous breakdown.’ Some people got let go, and there was a reorganization of others who he moved back to the music side of things. He’s a grownup. He was reflective and disappointed in how things went . . . He took stock in what people were saying and he was disappointed. But he’s more determined than ever to get that stuff right. And as far as throwing away his cellphone? If he did, then it’s not the first time. He always does that.”

Which do YOU think is the real version?

Relive the insanity of the Yeezy show, below.

British superstar and former boy-bander Robbie Williams was recently on The Graham Norton Show with Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, and Daniel Radcliffe when Graham asked him what the craziest thing he ever got from a fan. His answer? Herpes. But that’s not even what makes the video so great!

He goes on to tell a story about waking up in a castle he had rented to one of the strangest things that has ever happened in his life.

In Solange’s “A Seat At The Table,” Tina Knowlesyes, the goddess that birthed boy Bey and Solo – has an incredibly powerful and poignant interlude “Tina Taught Me” in which she says “I think part of it is accepting that there is so much beauty in being black.” And beautiful she is! In an instagram-heavy world that we live in, and being the mom of power house sisters – whom both have artistically stunning gram accounts – it’s refreshing to see their mother be excited, earnest, sweet, and gorgeous online.

Check out all the times she won social media:

New Series Alert: “Eyewitness” About Two Gay Teens Who Accidentally Witness A Murder During a Hookup

EYEWITNESS -- "Pilot" Episode 101 -- Pictured: (l-r) Tyler Young as Philip Shea, James Paxton as Lukas Waldenbeck -- (Photo by: Christos Kalohoridis/USA Network)

Oh, this sounds FUN. It’s a new 10-episode series on USA, starting October 16. The premise: Two teenage boys secretly hook up at a cabin in the woods when they are interrupted by a shocking multiple murder. They have to stay quiet so that nobody discovers they’re gay. Meanwhile, a local sheriff, played by Julianne Nicholson, is hot on the case.

I first read about this over on BoyCulture, and have to agree this is one of those things I never thought I’d live to see. A TV series predicated on a gay teen hookup. I would have just lost my shit at age 14 to have something like that around. What a great time to be alive.

Watch the creepy and atmospheric trailer below.

I think I’m already in love with Tyler Young (who plays Philip)!

Via USA:

When two innocent teenaged boys secretly meet up in the forest, they bear witness to a shooting and barely escape with their lives. Desperate to keep their relationship a secret and in fear of being found by the perpetrator, they remain silent but soon learn that what has been seen cannot be unseen and when you witness a horrible event it changes everything, forever.

The original version of the series was produced in Norway by NRK Drama and premiered last year. Norwegian actress Anneke von der Lippe, who plays a police investigator on the NRK series, was recently honored for her role with a Best Performance by an Actress win at the International Emmys.

Seriously: stop everything you’re doing and watch the brilliant pilot for HBO’s new “Insecure.” Insecure focuses on the awkward experiences and racy tribulations of a modern day African-American woman through the eyes of Issa Dee, played by “The Adventures of an Awkward Black Girl” fame Issa Rae. I watched it last night and it’s the most excited I’ve felt about watching a contemporary series since Fargo Season 2 (Kirsten Dunst was robbed! I’ll never let it go so get use to it.)

Check it out:

The pilot managed to be rich, vibrant, funny, and real all at the same time thanks to the comedic genius of jackee-of-all-trades, Rae.

The series opens with Issa in a classroom (wearing a power blazer that literally is the definition of #goals) where she is illustrating the many benefits for volunteering and choosing a career in the non-profit sector – namely, the place she is employed at called, “We Got Y’all.” Hilarity ensues, as we discover Issa’s social circle: her couch potato boyfriend (another dreamy blazer):

Her best friend, Molly (whom I’m now obsessed with):

And how the pair couldn’t be more different. Molly is a successful lawyer but can’t find love.

Nomi Ruiz Goes Genderless In “Chemical Love” Video & Essay

nomi-ruiz-chemical-love

NYC singer/songwriter Nomi Ruiz collaborates with Oli Chang of Animal Feelings on new track and visual Chemical Love. The melodic track is a departure from Ruiz’s dance floor-style grooves previously heard on Hercules and Love Affair’s You belong, and her own group Jessica 6 hits White Horse and Prisoner of Love. We also get to see a more stripped-down image of Ruiz, which she addresses in the essay below. She has suffered her entire life with the auto-immune disease alopecia (revealed to WOW in a feature interview a few months ago) that caused her to lose all of her bodily hair, and is now embracing a genderless expression, redefining what it means to be female and trans, ultimately rejecting all standardized labels of beauty and conformity.

Nomi Ruiz:

I sang before I could talk, and when I could walk, I danced. As a child I loved wrapping myself in window curtains while dancing, imagining I was a ballerina wrapped in tulle. One day my mother watched me for the first time and shouted, ‘Stop! You shouldn’t do that. That’s for girls and you’re a boy!’ I looked at her wide-eyed and confused and innocently replied, “I know momma but in belly I feel like girl.” I was 4 years old. That was my first reality check, realizing that society would try to dictate whether or not I was a woman and even when I grew to be one regardless, they would try and dictate the type of woman I was allowed to be. It was a long journey but eventually I would discover how diverse femininity actually is and that being a girl isn’t all about ballerina’s and tulle but about breaking boundaries.

Growing up a woman of trans experience on the gritty streets of Sunset Park, Brooklyn, I struggled to find a place amongst my peers. I was slight of build, with a high-pitched voice and at an early age, I had already aligned myself with the feminine, both in the friendships I formed, and the outward appearance I adopted. Right when I began settling into my community, I was confronted by a shocking shift in my already complex experience. At the age of 4 I was diagnosed with Alopecia, an autoimmune disease which caused the hair on my entire body to fall out. Each morning I woke up to a pillowcase full of hair. Without treatment or cure for this disease, it didn’t take long until I was left with nothing but a bald scalp. Not only did I feel separate from the other kids in my neighborhood, but also from all of society.

We all use hair as a tool for self expression, so when that was taken away from me, a huge part of my identity was lost. I became an introvert, detaching myself from the world around me. The innocence I had as a child in tune with the woman inside was stripped away. At the time, I thought aesthetics alone determined my future as a female. When I suddenly had no control over my appearance I felt I also lost the ability to achieve my dreams. My hopeful innocence was devoured by fear and I made excuses to stray from my path. I told myself I could never be a singer because I was trans, and I could never be trans because I had no hair. I hid behind ball caps and sat in the back of classrooms. I spent all of my free time locked in my room, fantasizing of an alternative reality where I was considered beautiful, loved, and was free to sing as the woman I was meant to be.

My life changed when I saw Eve Salvail being interviewed on TV. Eve is a model who was discovered by Jean Paul Gautier and was known for having a shaved head that was tattooed with a Chinese dragon. I will never forget what she said during that interview, ‘being a model is what I do, not who I am.’ Seeing the confidence she possessed helped me see that an alternate universe of femininity DID exist. It was the first time I felt that I too could embrace femininity no matter what I possessed aesthetically.

It was at that moment when I not only became my own woman but also began to rebel against gender as a whole. I tattooed my scalp in honor of Eve and refused to cover up and hide behind scarfs and hats any longer. The more confident I became in my appearance, the more the world around me questioned my gender. I was often asked by my school teachers in front of an entire classroom, ‘Are you a boy or a girl?’ I would smirk and reply, ‘I’m whatever you want me to be…’ I eventually aligned myself with the idea of being third gendered by rejecting gender as a whole and refusing to align with either male or female, a concept which is now defined as gender non conforming.

Eventually, I started my physical transition. I began taking hormones and as my body began to develop explored mainstream ideas of femininity. Having not only the soul of a woman but also a punk, I wasn’t content with simply ‘passing so, I toyed with hyperfemininity. I wore the highest heels, the longest hair, painted on the reddest lips and accentuated every single curve of my newly developed body. The punk in me that once challenged gender as a whole began finding power in feminine extremes but slowly this became a crutch as I began feeding off the way my new aesthetic not only excited men, but made them weak. The insecurity that lurked in my subconscious began using these feminine extremes as a weapon, searching for that look of vulnerability in a man’s eye that made me feel relevant, powerful, and beautiful. I was lost and had to return to myself in order to find my true strength by once again stripping away all aesthetics, like the day I lost my hair. Today, with nothing left to prove and without self-doubt, I find myself redefining my ideas of femininity once again. I observe my form as a naked canvas, stripped away of society’s ideas about what femininity should be.

When I sat down with Oli Chang and Adam France to talk about creating a video for ‘Chemical Love’ we all agreed we wanted something ethereal and otherworldly. I wanted to use this moment to express my current feminine philosophy by creating a character who escapes all preconceived notions of femininity, gender, and even race. I reached out to designer Rio Uribe at Gypsy Sport and jewelry designer Chrishabana, two artists who’s work also challenges gender norms, to help contribute to the videos aesthetic. I thought of myself as a child, so lost and afraid, suddenly finding strength in the sight of Eve Salvail. I wanted this video to present an image of alternative beauty for someone who may be trying to find themselves in a world full of false lashes and Instagram clones.

A rejection of labels, appropriation, and separation. Embracing the idea that we own nothing in this world but our collective souls, blending and sharing cultures, allowing an exchange of aesthetics until we are all undeniably one. Abandoning all ego. For it is the ego which fears evolution, for the moment we realize we are all one is the moment we realize we are nothing at all. When the feminine meets the masculine, like the chemicals in our bodies. Like the love in our hearts and the luxury in our lineage.

Hillary Pens Op-Ed Piece for Philadelphia Gay News Addressing LGBT Equality

$

hillary-clinton-99d8ed7b-10c5-40dc-b8b9-884af36d5a21

In what is a historic first: Hillary Clinton has written an op-ed for the Philadelphia Gay News. It’s the first time a major-party presidential candidate has written an op-ed for an LGBT newspaper. (Donald Trump was asked but did not respond). In it, she discusses, among other things, the ongoing issue of violence against the LGBT community, the importance of passing the Equality Act, and the need for continued HIV and AIDS research.

Read it in its entirety below.

More than half a century ago, at Independence Hall, participants at the first Annual Reminder march picketed, chanted and sang. They did this to show their fellow Philadelphians that the LGBT community lacked fundamental civil rights.

In the decades since those protests, our country has come a long way. Marriage equality is the law of the land. This year, the last state law prohibiting same-sex couples from adopting was finally struck down. And President Obama signed an executive order protecting federal workers from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. We should celebrate that progress.

But the simple truth is that even now, in 2016, there are still too many states in America where LGBT people can be fired or evicted from their home because of who they are or who they love. Pennsylvania is one of them. Here, you can get married on Sunday and fired on Monday, just for being gay or transgender.

That goes against everything we stand for as a country.

We need to act on the federal level to take on discrimination in all its forms. That’s what I’ll do as President — with your help.

But first, we have to win this election. Donald Trump must not be elected president. He would rip away so much of the progress we’ve made. He would appoint Supreme Court justices who would overturn marriage equality and rescind many of President Obama’s executive orders — including those protecting LGBT people.

It’s not just Trump’s policies that reveal the kind of president he would be. So does his choice of running mate. Mike Pence is one of the most anti-LGBT public officials in America. As governor of Indiana, Pence supported a bill that legalized discrimination against LGBT people. As a member of Congress, he voted against expanding the definition of hate crimes to include sexual orientation and gender identity. He opposed the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” saying doing so would be “social experimentation.” And he’s said that homosexuality would bring about “societal collapse.”

That’s why the stakes in this election are so high.

If I’m fortunate enough to be elected president, I’ll protect the progress we’ve fought so hard to achieve — and I’ll keep fighting until every American can live free from discrimination and prejudice.

That means working to pass the Equality Act. It would finally provide LGBT people full federal nondiscrimination protections in housing, employment and so much more. I know that differences of opinion on LGBT equality still exist in the hearts of some Americans, but they should not exist under our laws. As president, I’ll be your partner in bringing about the vision of the inclusive nation that advocates, activists and allies have been seeking for decades.

I also believe we must address the ongoing issue of violence against the LGBT community. LGBT people are now more likely than any other group to be the target of a hate crime. America saw the effects of hate in Orlando, with the attack on the Pulse nightclub — the deadliest mass shooting by a single person in our history. The danger is compounded for LGBT people of color, who face intersectional pressures and dangers, particularly transgender people of color. Last year, more than 20 transgender women were killed in America. Recently, three were murdered right here in Philadelphia.

We need to stop the violence and save LGBT lives. We need to collect more data around gender identity and sexual orientation in hate crimes, so we can stop them in a smarter, more effective way. And we need to finally pass common-sense reforms to address the gun violence epidemic. Along with the vast majority of Americans, I believe that we can protect the rights of law-abiding gun owners while still making sure that guns don’t fall into the wrong hands.

Finally, we need to continue our fight to achieve our goal of an AIDS-free generation. HIV and AIDS still disproportionately impact gay and bisexual men, communities of color, transgender people and young people. We need to increase research, expand the use of effective prevention medications like PrEP, cap out-of-pocket drug costs and reform outdated HIV-criminalization laws.

Like many, I’ve lost friends and loved ones to AIDS. We owe it to them — the people we love and miss, and the people whose names we’ll never know — to continue this fight.

As First Lady and Senator, I fought to significantly expand funding for AIDS research. As Secretary of State, I changed the rules so that State Department employees in same-sex relationships were treated the same as their colleagues and so that transgender Americans could obtain passports that reflected their true gender identity. So these fights aren’t new to me.

And as president, I’ll keep fighting for LGBT rights, because — as I told the world in one of the most important speeches I gave as Secretary — they are human rights. And I won’t quit until all our laws reflect that basic reality.

“Dear Kim…”: Paris Concierge Writes Kim K an Open Letter to Clear the Air

The Parisian hotel concierge who allegedly led robbers to Kim Kardashian’s hotel room, has just published an open letter to the reality star in an effort to help clear of himself of suspicion.

According to TMZ, both Kim and concierge were held together for some time during the robbery. At one point she asked him, “Are we gonna die?” In Kardashian’s statement to the police, she reportedly said he responded very calmly with, “I don’t know.”

That apparently raised a big red flag for Kardashian, who then became suspicious of his calm demeanor during the incident.

Well. The concierge thanks that’s a bunch of “merde de taureau.” Translation: BULLSHIT!

“Dear Kim,” the 40-year-old hotel employee wrote in French celebrity magazine Closer. “When you feel the cold steel of a gun at your neck, it is the moment when remaining calm can mean the difference of life or death, both our lives,” Then he writes: “I hope you are feeling better.”

US Weekly recaps the robbery, and some of the inconsistencies in the concierge’s story:

The Hôtel de Pourtalès staffer told authorities that five men dressed as policemen buzzed the intercom in the early hours of Monday, October 3, demanding to see Kardashian, 35.

The concierge said when he opened the door to the building, they pointed a gun at his head and forced him to unlock the door to Kardashian’s apartment. His effortless ability to reach the reality star is puzzling law enforcement.

“What’s confusing to police is how a low-ranking night staffer had such easy key access to the VIP apartments,” a source told Us, adding that police “remain baffled at the apparent ease with which he was able to guide the robbers straight to the star’s bedroom.”

French police officers stand in front of Kim Kardashian’s luxury apartment in Paris’ 8th arrondissement, where she was robbed at gunpoint by masked men.

The insider also pointed out that it’s “inconceivable” that the concierge would be able to gain access to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s residence without breaking the door down, and yet, there was no sign of forced entry.

Reclusive Academy Award-winning actor/director Warren Beatty gave a wide-ranging interview with Vanity Fair about “his new film, his fascination with Howard Hughes, his wife Annette Bening, and living in the new age of Hollywood while remaining an icon of the past.” (It’s quite a read; The list of his sexual conquests* alone is absolutely gobsmacking)

When conversation turned to his home life, he spoke openly ands lovingly about his son, Stephen. (The interview is the first time Beatty has publicly commented on his son’s trans identity).

“He’s a revolutionary, a genius and my hero,” he says.

Awwww. Damn onions.

Vanity Fair went on to say:

Just as Beatty was something of a sexual revolutionary in the years emerging from the strict mores of the 1950s, so his firstborn child is also a revolutionary.

Stephen, who is challenging cultural norms of sexuality, is an activist for the transgender community.

A poet and writer, he posted an ‘Answer to Seven Questions’ about his gender identity on the ‘WeHappyTrans’ Web site. One is struck by Stephen’s insouciant intelligence—he manages to be playful, erudite, and eloquent all at once.

Watch that below.
