Once in Corfu, Luis is butting heads with Ryan’s best man over the bachelor party duties, and the church just so happens to be overbooked the day of the wedding. Still, the prospect of becoming Mrs. Serhant is enough to keep Emilia going through the hard times. “We’re getting married,” she says in the first look. “I would have never imagined.”

The body of 25-year-old Dee Whigham, a registered nurse at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was discovered at a Biloxi hotel on July 23. Autopsy reports showed she was stabbed 119 times, mostly in her face. Also: Her throat was slashed three times. Navy seaman Dwanya Hickerson, 20, is charged with capital murder and robbery.

According to Allen, surveillance video from July 23 taken at the Best Western Hotel shows Hickerson and Whigham walking into a hotel room together around 8:30 p.m.Just 23 minutes later, Hickerson was seen on the video leaving the room alone with his shirt hanging across his neck. Allen told the court that Hickerson took a shower in the room and left the water running.

Whigham’s friends found her body around 9:45 p.m. and called 911, said Allen.

An attorney representing Hickerson filed a motion to dismiss the case during Monday’s hearing, but the judge denied the motion. The evidence will now be presented to a grand jury for an indictment of capital murder.

23 minutes. Walked into the hotel room. Stabbed her 119 times. In the face. Took a shower and left.

Dangerous Minds posted these fabulous videos of dancers at the Stratus Dance Club in the San Diego area, cirtca 1986 or ’87.

This was East County, and Stratus was an all-ages club that catered heavily to the new romantic and goth crowds—these videos are all labeled “The Metro Beat and Club Sanctuary Nights” which was surely a regular rendezvous for the new wavers in the area. Jane’s Addiction actually played Stratus right during this period, in the spring of 1987.

This reminds me of the footage taken at the Xclusiv nightclub in Batley in 1984 we posted a while back. So what’s on the turntable—or CD player? Well, the clips start us off with the Cult’s “She Sells Sanctuary,” there’s a good deal of Divine (I caught both “Shake It Up” and “Native Love (Step by Step)”) and Sexual Harassment (”I Need a Freak”) and Strawberry Switchblade’s version of “Jolene” and Trans-X (”Living on Video”) alongside more enduring faves like Blondie and New Order.

A website called The Intercept follows the history of Donald Trump Jr’s now infamous “Skittle Tweet.” In it, Trump’s son asks: “If I had a bowl full of Skittles, and I told you just three would kill you, would you take a handful? That’s our Syrian problem.” The concept dates back at least to 1938 and a children’s book called Der Giftpilz, or The Toadstool, in which a mother explains to her son that it only takes one Jew to destroy an entire people.

In the book, a boy named Franz learns about the Jews from his mother:

“However they disguise themselves, or however friendly they try to be, affirming a thousand times their good intentions to us, one must not believe them. Jews they are and Jews they remain. For our Volk they are poison.”

“Like the poisonous mushroom!” says Franz.

Yes, my child! Just as a single poisonous mushrooms can kill a whole family, so a solitary Jew can destroy a whole village, a whole city, even an entire Volk [nation].”

The Toadstool was written by Julius Streicher, the publisher of Adolf Hitler‘s favorite newspaper, Der Stürmer. which was famous for its anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic, anti-communist, and anti-capitalist propaganda. In 1933, soon after Hitler took power, Streicher used his newspaper to call for the extermination of the Jews.

For his twenty-five years of speaking, writing, and preaching hatred of the Jews, Streicher was widely known as “Jew-Baiter Number One”. In his speeches and articles, week after week, month after month, he infected the German mind with the virus of anti-Semitism, and incited the German people to active persecution. Each issue of Der Stürmer, which reached a circulation of 600,000 in 1935, was filled with such articles, often lewd and disgusting.

Hitler said: “One must never forget the services rendered by the Stürmer … Now that Jews are known for what they are, nobody any longer thinks that Streicher libelled them.”

Streicher was hanged at Nuremburg in 1946 for crimes against humanity. (via boingboing)

A sadness grew over me during Sunday night’s Emmys…it marked the end of a rigorous and captivating award season for 2016’s television season, but it also marked a personal vendetta for me. It solidified a just farewell (and nod, really) to Peggy Blumquist – a nutty beautician gone batshit badass– played flawlessly by the effervescent Kirsten Dunst – on Fargo’s critically acclaimed second season to rest after what was probably Dunst’s biggest comeback year in, well years.

 She won the Critic’s Choice Award for the role, along with much deserved nominations for both the Golden Globes and Emmy’s for Best Actress In A Limited Series.

Like everyone, I gussied up to a bar with my squirrel friends and cheered along when I saw her haute couture Givenchy moment on the red carpet:

And that’s exactly it: Kiki D is only 34 and has starred in over 35 films. Time and time again she’s given us epic performance after epic performance: Interview With A Vampire, Virgin Suicides, Eternal Sunshine, Marie Antoinette (to name a few), which none ever garnered an Oscar nom (oddly enough). Let’s not even begin to mention all her cult classics: Drop Dead Gorgeous, Dick, Bring It On, etc. But in 2014’s Lars Von Trier fantasy, her role as the depressed Justine – in Melancholia – earned her a much deserved Cannes (which is essentially France’s Oscars):

But LBR: Peggy was the most exciting (fictional) character to watch on television in years. 

Yet, she lost to Gaga for the Globes and to Paulson for OJ Simpson (I think Sarah did an amazing job btw!) I would just like to see my baby rightfully get what’s hers.

Up next for Dunst? She’ll star in the Rodarte’s Woodshock and opposite Taraji P. Penson in Hidden Figures. Who knows, maybe one those will finally see our girl in the Best Actress category for Academy Awards season…

In today’s TMI Medical News: Vanesa Rodríguez Fernández and Carlos López Ramón y Cajal, two researchers working in the Spanish city of Pontevedra, claim to have evidence, they say, which proves “fetal gratification behavior” (fetal masturbation) as early as the 32nd week of gestation.

They’ve written a paper entitled “In-Utero Gratification Behavior in Male Fetus” and has been accepted for publication in the journal Prenatal Diagnosis. It says (in part):

Fetal gratification behavior using 3D ultrasounds. (1) The fetus is grasping his tumescent penis using an evident force. Foreskin is partially retracted. (2) In the next step, the foreskin is more retracted so it allowed us to locate the meatus clearly. (3) The foreskin is totally retracted and the glans is very patent. (4) Finally, the hand movement returns the foreskin to cover the glans.

We show “fetal gratification behavior” in a fetus in the 32nd week of gestation of a normal gestation. The fetus was grasping his tumescent penis with his hand and did it with such force that it shows us clearly the glans. Initially, the glans was covered by the foreskin and gradually the foreskin is retracted as we show in images the total sequence of the hand movements grasping the penis (Figure). We show this behavior using 4D live mode where the movements that go with this behavior are shown clearly (Movie File). Moments later the foreskin covers partially the glans (Figure: number 4). This is a very clear sexual behavior “in utero” in the 32nd week of gestation. We understood this behavior as a “fetal gratification behavior” (fetal masturbation).

Jared Leto has announced his plans to play the Pope of Pop, Andy Warhol, in an upcoming biopic. The screenplay will be written by Terence Winter (of Boardwalk Empire and Wolf of Wall Street fame) who plans to use the Victor Bockris book, Warhol: The Biography, as a jumping-off point. (Leto and joint co-producer Michael De Luca jointly acquired the rights to the book, having had a desire to partner on a project for some time now, according to sources).

Warhol’s backstory, for the initiated (via THR):

Openly gay before such a thing was accepted, Warhol created an art studio called The Factory that attracted swaths of New York society (not to mention an unbalanced person or two, as one artist nearly killed Warhol when she shot him in 1968) and cranked out art ranging from silk screens to films to music. Warhol himself managed Lou Reed’s Velvet Underground for a while. In later years, he was a fixture in New York’s famed Studio 54 nightclub scene and mentored a new generation of artists, such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, before dying in 1987.

Warhol was a hypochondriac who, according to friends and acquaintances, vacillated between a cold and shallow person — sometimes quiet, sometimes the center of attention — to a brilliant eccentric who wore wigs and even went to hairdressers to have them cut.

The part seems tailor-made for Leto, who won an Oscar for playing a gay man dying from AIDS in 2013’s Dallas Buyers Club and drew legions of fans for his take on Batman’s insane villain The Joker in this summer’s Suicide Squad. (The actor currently is filming the untitled Blade Runner sequel being directed by Denis Villeneuve.)

So… exciting news or nah?

While out on a recent press junket, Daniel Radcliffe was asked what he thought of the US elections, and specifically Trump‘s chances of winning. His answer? Trump will probably win, and that’s better than him not winning because we need to see how much we really don’t want him to win.

Wait… WHAT?

“We’re all going to cope. The world’s not going to end. I do think he’s going to get in actually, unfortunately, but, you know, we’ll make the best of it.

“Frankly, I think that at this point him not getting in is maybe more dangerous than him getting in, just because the amount of people that will then say it was all rigged. I feel like there’s almost a part of you that’s like, ‘No, if you want this you need to get it so that you see how much you don’t want it really.’ So… hopefully Hillary will win, but i’m not too hopeful.’”

Damn, Daniel. That’s some pretty privileged shit coming out of your mouth. Did you learn nothing from your experiences with Voldemort?

Bianca Del Rio has a new film out this week, Hurricane Bianca, about a New York teacher who is fired from a conservative school in Texas for being gay, then returns in drag to get revenge. She sat down with Huffington Post Queer Voices to talk about why the subject matter is so timely.

The Huffington Post: For those people who have been out of the loop since you won “Drag Race,” catch us up! What have you been up to?
Bianca Del Rio: Besides combing wigs and washing tights? Well last year I did my first stand-up comedy tour in six different countries and filmed it for release on Vimeo.com. I also filmed a movie called “Hurricane Bianca” which is premiering in NYC on September 19 and will be released digitally on iTunes, Amazon, Vimeo, and Wolfe OnDemand on September 23. My new stand-up tour called “Not Today Satan” also kicked off this year in Australia, and I’m touring the U.S. with it from September 28 to November 9.

What was inspiration for your new film?
Hurricane Bianca was the creation of my friend Matt Kugelman. He came up with the idea about eight or nine years ago, wrote the script, did a couple of crowdfunding campaigns and then directed the filming of it last year. The movie tells the story of a New York teacher who is fired from a small Texan school for being gay and returns disguised at “Bianca” to wreak revenge on the town. It’s a comedic take on a serious topic because in more than half of the states in the U.S., you can legally be fired for being gay.

This film is obviously a comedy but it’s also extremely political. What do you ultimately want people to take away from this film?
I want people to laugh and have a good time. But I’d also like for people to be aware that even though great achievements have been made in the U.S. regarding LGBT rights, we still have a long way to go. It’s wonderful that same-sex couples can legally get married in all 50 states now, but employers in 29 of those states can legally fire someone simply for their sexual orientation. How crazy and unfair is that?! More people need to be made aware of that so we can fight to end LGBT employment discrimination.
