On the Set of Crimson Peak with Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam, and Mia Wasikowska

Currently filming in Toronto, the horror film Crimson Peak is about a young author (Mia Wasikowska) who discovers her dashing husband (Tom Hiddleston) IS NOT WHO HE APPEARS TO BE. Dun dun dun. The cast, of course, is top rate – have I mentioned Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam are also in it? –  and the 19th century fashions are to die for. Check out Mia’s amazeballs belt with those little hands! Making her look like some sort of Kraken/school marm! I love it! And Tom, whoooo, Tom can do no wrong. The movie isn’t scheduled to be released until October of 2015, so expect a year and a half of pictures and trailers.

From ScreenCrush:

We’ve only picked up bits and pieces of information about Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming horror piece, but so far we know that “it’s set at the turn of the century and it is a gothic romance with ghosts … Dark and stormy and wind-swept,” said the director. He even later teased that ”the script itself is bone chillingly terrifying. When I was reading it for the first time I had to get up and walk around the room, then sit down again because I was so scared.”

Miley Cyrus Suffering in The Hospital

Oh no! Miley Cyrus suffers from extreme allergic reaction to antibiotics, suffering in the hospital, can’t stop crying, having to cancel Bangerz tour dates, OH MY!

Miley Cyrus Cephalexin Bangerz tour Adore You

Miley Cyrus hasn’t been feeling her best lately. Last week she canceled shows because of the flu. And after dealing with a sinus infection, she decided to take an antibacterial medication called Cephalexin. Little did Miley know she was allergic to the medicine! At first, doctors prescribed her bed rest, but bed rest wasn’t enough! Her allergic reaction could not be cured by some ZZZ’s.

Since there are a lot of rumors going around Miley Cy-Cy took to twitter to set the record straight… OFFICIALLY with this statement (which is an image from her notepad app on her iPhone! OMG never thought about that! That’s a really good way to bypass the 140 character rule!!! Anyway…)

Miley Cyrus Cephalexin Bangerz tour Adore You

And since Miley is a social media GURU, she’s keeping contact with her fans on Twitter and Instagram:

Luckily she was able to FaceTime with her pup right from her hospital bed!

Miley Cyrus Cephalexin Bangerz tour Adore You

It’s blatantly clear that she would rather be on stage performing (her amazing show! OMG) than be laid up in a hospital bed! Your fans here at World of Wonder (ESPECIALLY me) wish you well very very very soon! Cause  I Ado-o-o-o-re You-ou-ou-ou-oo and I’m Rooting For My Baby! *kissy cat emoji*

XOXO, Gossip Girl.

The New One Direction Video Is Here! Watch “You & I” NOW!

Sort of a lackluster outing from the One Direction boys this time, as they mope about a grey and windswept pier, casually morphing into one another (as they do). As always, you are transported by Harry’s voice, and gasp a little when you see Zayn. But Louis. Darling. My DEAR. It’s time to wash your hair. It just IS. That shit is NASTY.

Really wished I liked the song as much as the Directioners do. They’re going bananas over in the comments section on YouTube. “Crying. Help oh Jesus” and  ”THIS IS LITERALLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. I LOVE IT SO MUCH ITS MY FAVE SONG ON THE ALBUM. IM SO HAPPY OMG AND ZAYN JUST LOOKED SO FUCKING PURFECT” seem to be the most common sentiments.

Zayn Malik One Direction Niall Horan new music music video Louis Tomlinson Liam Payne hot guys Harry Styles Zayn Malik One Direction Niall Horan new music music video Louis Tomlinson Liam Payne hot guys Harry Styles

via MTV News:

Looking all grown-up in matching cozy gray sweaters, One Direction stroll along the Clevedon Pier outside of Somerset, England, in the clip (in color, not black-and-white as the teasers projected), which was directed by longtime collaborator Ben Winston.

The video begins with Niall walking along the pier wearing that gray sweater and black pants. Wardrobe is a key point in the “You & I” video. As Directioners know, this is a boy band that never wears matching outfits. But we now know that they share the item of clothing because they transform into one another!

As Niall concludes his verse on the romantic Midnight Memories ballad, he suddenly morphs (OMG) into Liam (who’s totally rocking that scruffy look, BTW). Payne then transforms into Harry (not wearing that cute hat he was caught sporting on set), who becomes Zayn and, finally, Louis.

The visual makes it seem that each boy-band member is walking along the boardwalk in one continuous shot. The five guys of 1D eventually all meet up toward the end of the clip, rolling around on the boardwalk, playing with balloons, kicking a soccer ball and pretty much being adorable. Take a look at the pretty awesome video for yourself.

One Direction! One Direction! One Direction!

Paper Chase: Matisse At The Tate Moden

THe Tate Modern London Henri Matisse cut outs art exhibit Art Andy Warhol In his late sixties, when ill health prevented Matisse from painting, he began to cut into painted paper with scissors to make drafts for a number of commissions. He wrote that it was “like being given a second life”. Soon, Matisse chose cut-outs over painting: he had invented a new medium. I’m not sure how fresh this looks in 2014, because this particular style of Matisse has been copied by graphic artists and illustrators, SO much as to render them nearly mute today. At the time the work was created, a young art student, Andrew Warhola, wanted to BE Matisse and Andy’s incredible color sense has been traced back to this desire. So, to see these snowflowers, dancers, circus scenes and a his famous abstracted snail (below), in this new exhibition at the Tate Modern will be a rare opportunity and a thrill. (I’ll be in London myself in mid-May, although I could have seen it when it travels to MoMA this fall, as well.) These 120 works, made between ’36 and ’54, have come from collections around the world to be seen together for first time since they were created over 60 years ago. Another first – the Tate is broadcasting live into cinemas around the UK with a film about the exhibition too and as they put it, you can also “shop the full product range” online here. Below is a BBC documentary on Matisse’s life and work. If you want to skip ahead to 35:00, you can see more about how the work was created and an interview with Francoise Gilot, Picasso’s lover, who describes seeing his process of the cut-outs first-hand. After James Franco called the New York Times theater critic “a little bitch” on Instagram for giving his performance in Of Mice & Men a bad review, The Guardian says we have now entered into a new age of counter-criticism.

The Daily Beast tallies up every woman Don Draper has ever slept with.

It is rich with moments of tenderness and confusion, and real terror and grief even; moments sometimes more resonant and elementally powerful than you experience in a good novel.” And I thought it was just fun to watch in a k-hole.

The New York Times obituary for Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and over at Slate: What he meant to the people of Colombia (and why we can never TRULY get his novels).

Oh My Gah. Going braless is SO NORMCORE.

And finally, a rather salacious article in The Daily Beast goes inside Bryan Singer’s infamous twink pool parties. I saved it for last because you’re going to need a Silkwood shower after reading it.
