Somebody alert the Doctor! Something weird is happening in England! A young girl took this video of a bizarre black ring, floating like a cloud over Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Local weather experts are saying it doesn’t have anything to do with the weather, while firefighters are saying there were no fires around the time of the sighting. So ummmm… WHAT COULD IT BE? Bees in binary formations? Smoke rings of the gods? ALIEN GLORY HOLES?

A schoolgirl was stunned when when she looked into the sky to see this enormous unexplained black ring. Georgina Heap, 16, was playing tennis with mum Jo when she was stopped in her tracks by the fascinating sight. Gazing into the sky, the pair saw a clearly defined black circle which looked like a giant smoke ring. The ring remained there for around three minutes before disappearing completely. The spectacle, which took place near Leamington Spa on Friday evening, has stumped officials.

Georgina told the Mirror:

I looked up at it and thought ‘what the hell?’, it was amazing. It was just floating there like a cloud and then it disappeared. It wasn’t birds either.

My take? Obviously some sort of residual trail from a Boom Tube, with parademons ON THEIR WAY TO ENSLAVE US ALL.

Did you see last night’s Blood Moon? I stood on my front lawn in my Spongebob pajamas for twenty minutes waiting for the blood. Never saw it. Certainly nothing as cool as this. Check out the superfab GIF via reddit. 

From ABC News: “The phenomenon is known as a tetrad, in which the moon is completely covered by the earth’s umbral shadow for four eclipses in a row, as opposed to only partial eclipses that fall in the outer penumbra. But rather than succumbing to complete darkness, the moon will glow red as it receives the refracted light that spills over the Earth’s circumference. The series is a rare occurrence in history, with large spans of time, such as the 300 years between 1600 and 1900, witnessing none. But the 21st century will be more promising, according to Fred Espenak, who works for NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and specializes in eclipse predictions. Frequency sort of goes through 585-year cycles,” the astrophysicist explains. “So you go through centuries where you don’t have any, and centuries where you have a number of them.

The next tetrad will begin in 2032.”

From CNN: “If rain or clouds obscured your lunar experience, don’t fret. This episode is the first of four consecutive total lunar eclipses — known as the tetrad — that will occur in six-month intervals until September 2015. And unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are safe to view with the naked eye and don’t require special filters.”

I had the pleasure of meeting Our Lady J at the Glaad Awards this weekend.  She is a complete beauty and her new CD is a knock-out!  Imagine if Imogen Heap and Rufus Wainwright had a baby, that’s Our Lady J.  There is a sort of Gregorian Chant version of Dolly / Whitney’s “I Will Always Love You” which is transcendent.  Other stand-out tracks are “Elegance” and “Picture of a Man”.

Damiana Garcia delighted in interviewing the handsome and hilarious Ross Mathews from E!’s “Hello Ross!” on the 2014 GLAAD Awards red carpet. They talked about Ross’ recent sketch titled “Golden GIRLS,” which was a mash-up of “Golden Girls” and HBO’s “GIRLS.” The sketch featured the legendary and shelarious Jackie Beat as Bea Arthur, with Ross playing Lena Dunham. Ross’ partner Salvador Camarena, who designs the costumes for Ross’ show and also makes appearances on the show himself, also says hello to Damiana in this interview. Bette Midler (you remember her from the Oscars this year, right?) posted this on Twitter at the beginning of this month:

“@Spotify and @Pandora have made it impossible for songwriters to earn a living: three months streaming on Pandora, 4,175,149 plays=$114.11.”

Recently, there’s been a growing outcry from songwriters and musicians, including Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, who say that Pandora and Spotify pay unfair royalty rates. Bette now claims that, while her songs have streamed on Pandora for the previous three months and been played more than 4 million times, the online radio station paid her barely enough to cover a cell phone bill for a month. In 2013, Pandora’s publicly traded stock sold for $368 per share and they had revenues of $638 million — but paid out $342.9 million in royalties to artists –more than half of its income. Including other expenses that adds up, according to Pandora, to a $40.7 million loss for the year. Pandora responded to the accusation in a correspondence with Billboard just two days after Midler posted her tweet, saying that she got her math wrong.

“Pandora paid more than $6,400 for those 4+ million plays, based on our 2014 rates which are published publicly. In terms of compensation to the creative community Pandora remains by far the highest paying form of radio. Pandora pays songwriters a greater percentage of revenue than terrestrial radio. And Pandora paid 48% of our revenue in performance royalties to rights-holders in 2013 – more than $300 million — while terrestrial radio was required to pay nothing.”

So far, Bette hasn’t responded to those revised numbers. I’m really curious what the real deal is – $6400 is a LOT different than $114. (Photo, Pacific Coast News; via inquisitor)

Initially, the Coachella twosome only noticed Aaron giving a double thumbs-up in the background of their shot. Naturally, they posted the picture to Reddit, writing, “We got photobombed by Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman from breaking bad) at Coachella [Friday].”  An eagle-eyed commenter quickly pointed out that Kellan was grinning in the background of the couple’s selfie as well. Good work there, fellas!

When the subway comes up from underground, it runs along a sprawling cemetery and stops at a short, run-down building. I walk to Matthew Camp‘s home and I’m welcomed into a place that looks like it’s carved into a rock, a place somehow both Baroque and industrial.

His size is impressive, big hulking muscles that never look obscene, but always appear as if they could crush you, in more ways than one. His eyes are light and happy. The former GoGo God and timeless Renaissance Man anoints me with his pheromone based fragrance, 8.5 , and tells me about the next scent he’s working on: something that smells like soap and cum.

I brought a bottle of whiskey, but he sticks to coffee, oatmeal, and crickets. Hyperaware of his surroundings, he avoids consuming radiation to a radical degree. Crickets are only on this planet for so long, he says, they don’t have the chance to absorb all the pollution other animals do. He explains everything with a smile that is friendly as it is carnivorous.

A master leather worker, his studio is missing his famous leather jackets: either sold or on loan to stylists. There are sketches everywhere, languid and hermaphroditic figures oozing equal amounts of sensuality and fluids. His latest work in progress: an elaborate wood carving. He frequently tattoos his friends and the film he starred in (Getting Go) will be released on iTunes this month. For someone so accomplished, he’s humble about his success.

He takes off his clothes and even though it’s a sight we’ve seen many times, it’s a sight that never loses its power to hypnotize. He is shameless with his body, but never disregards it. It’s clear that he cares for himself as much as his creative outpourings.

He talks about sex, how it becomes less of a priority as he grows, his latest fetishistic fixation, how dating is a waste of time when there’s art to be made, the dark places that gay men explore, places too disturbing to print, how this darkness exists in all societies that are men-only.

It’s time for me to leave as the floodgates really start to open, as the window to Matt starts to become crystal clear. I wish to pry more and more into his religious upbringing, pick his brain about mind control, discover every detail of his creative process, his Bronte-esque romantic history…

But that’s Matthew Camp’s most alluring quality, a dignified exposure. Peeking past the shadows like a beautiful boogeyman, you think how can he be real, and you’ll never know quite how real, because he is always just out of reach. Always leaving you wanting, needing, more.

Well, this is sad. Legendary film star Kim Novak spoke to Yahoo! Movies about those Oscar night bullies who took to Twitter, making fun of her appearance.

“It really did throw me into a tailspin and it hit me hard,” Novak, 81, said in a telephone interview Thursday, after she released an open letter condemning remarks by Donald Trump and others about her appearance. ”For days, I didn’t leave the house, and it got to me like it gets kids and teenagers”

That makes me want to cry.

In her letter, Novak writes:

“I will no longer hold myself back from speaking out against bullies. We can’t let people get away with affecting our lives. I realized that I had to stand up not only for myself but for other people that don’t have the courage to do so. I feel like I have a mission.”

She said she initially remained silent after serving as a presenter with Matthew McConaughey at the March 2 Academy Awards because the comments were so painful, Novak said .

“I’m not going to deny that I had fat injections in my face. They seemed far less invasive than a face lift. In my opinion, a person has a right to look as good as they can, and I feel better when I look better.”

Poor Kim. Who even knew she was on Twitter? We ought to treat our legends better.
