Forget your summer vacation plans, forget getting a tan, forget the beach! Because Miley Cyrus summer school is in session! Tongues out, pencils ready, it’s time to get to TWERK! 

Skidmore College, a private liberal arts college in New York is offering a Miley Cyrus course this summer! The course is called ”The Sociology of Miley Cyrus: Race, Class, Gender and Media” (AKA the only class I would ever willingly take!) and it will be taught by Carolyn Chernoff (AKA total bad ass). The class will focus on Miley Cyrus, of course, and will touch on topics such as gender, race, class, fame and power. This GENIUS idea sparked when Chernoff taught a youth culture course that featured Miley’s iconic 2013 MTV Video Music Awards twerking performance! Looks like I will be moving to New York for the summer…don’t worry, I’ll live tweet during each lesson!

L’Wren Scott, the fashion designer who took her own life earlier this month, has left her estate of $9 million to her longtime partner, Mick Jagger, and nothing to her family. The 49-year-old designer bequeathed her $8 million apartment, which she owned under a corporate name, and $1 million in other valuables to Jagger, according to the New York Post, which cited court papers.

“I give all my jewelry, clothing, household furniture and furnishings, personal automobiles, and other tangible articles of a personal nature, or my interest in any such property, not otherwise specifically disposed of by this will or any other matter together with my insurance on the property, to Michael Philip Jagger. I give the rest and residue of my estate to my Michael Philip Jagger. Except if otherwise provided in this will, I have intentionally omitted to provide herein for any of my heirs living at the date of my death.”

She specifically stated that she did not want her family to receive anything. Scott has an older estranged sister, Jane Shane, and an older brother, Randall Bambrough and both of her adoptive parents are dead. The contents of Scott’s will do not specify the overall state of her finances at the time of her death. Mick’s personal fortune is estimated to be in excess of $300 million. Great. Just what he wanted, I’m sure – the apartment where his girlfriend killed herself and more money. What a sad shame. A Bitcoin fan proclaimed he would eat his own hat if the digital currency’s value dipped below $1,000. When that happened, he made good on his promise. Gotta love a man with integrity.

Anndddyyyy wrote in a March 26 post:

Some time back in late November after a night of drinking with some friends I came home and decided to check out/r/bitcoinmarkets to talk about Bitcoins. As you can see in this thread I was so sure of my drunken predictions that I offered to eat a hat on video with ketchup if I was wrong. Well, I was wrong. Bitcoins and alcohol don’t go well together. Lesson learned.

Here is the often-painful 46-minute video where Anndddyyyy systematically devours his hat. He does so by cutting it into pieces and working them into a sandwich.

Here’s how he did it:

I did it in 3 phases. I had every intention of doing it all in one meal until a friend of mine who’s in nursing school expressed genuine concern because the digestive system doesn’t break down cotton.

My stomach definitely felt “off” after each time and it gave me a weird headache. I didn’t notice any hat pieces in my poo so maybe she was wrong?

Next up we have the hunky Jamie McDonald who is celebrating the launch of Taco Bell’s morning menu by eating 18 Taco waffles which, brrrp, looks reeeeally disgusting. He looks like he’s about to lose it near the end, but by God, he pushes through… even when he runs out of water to wash it down with.

In an effort to help support the Human Rights Campaign’s battle against the various “license to discriminate” bills that have cropped up around the country, Sally Field has written a heartwarming letter about the struggles of her gay son Sam Greisman;

“Sam is my youngest son, by 18 years, and he’s gay. To that, I say: So what? Growing up, Sam wanted desperately to just be like his older brothers — athletic, rambunctious and even a little bit macho. He wanted to beat Eli at tennis, trounce Peter at computer football and learn everything about every basketball player on the court. But Sam was different. And his journey to allow himself to be what nature intended him to be was not an easy one. Finally, at 20, long after he beat his brothers at tennis and computer games and knew as much as anyone about basketball, Sam was able to stand up proudly and say, ‘I am a gay man.’ Sam knows that if he ever marries, he’ll have my full support. After all, I like to believe I raised him with the good sense to choose a great partner. But there are people out there — organizations and politicians, strangers who have never even met Sam — who would rather devote themselves to denying his happiness. Why would anyone want to prevent my son — or anyone’s son or daughter — from having basic legal safeguards like family medical leave, Social Security survivors benefits, or health insurance? It doesn’t make any sense — but it won’t change until people speak out. I’m proud to stand with HRC to add my voice. Will you join me? Whether you are LGBT yourself, a parent or grandparent of an LGBT child, or just a great person with strong convictions about what’s fair and right, I hope I’ve convinced you to stand with HRC for equality.”

In early February, Luxury Listings NYC reported that a mystery buyer put both of Mister Jackson’s penthouses in contract for an unknown amount. It’s entirely possible that there’s absolutely no connection between Miss Swift and the Peter Jackson penthouses but over the last week or two Miss Pop Country Superstar has been repeatedly photographed entering and exiting the building (as she is above on March 26th) – that is the same building on top of which Mister Jackson’s ex-penthouses sit. Could it be she’s renting one –or both– of those apartments? Or did she buy them? On the florplan, there are three sets of French doors linking the living/dining space to a library and the eat-in kitchen, there’s a pantry that is a passage to a playroom/den that could probably be pressed into use as seventh bedroom, when the entourage stays over too late. The second floor has two bedrooms and a study that leads to the giant master suite. A 25+ foot long hall lined with 10 or more closets and wardrobes leads back to a separate dressing room and the master bedroom with fireplace. There are two terraces on this floor. All of this could add to the substantial real estate portfolio she is amassing, which currently includes a duplex penthouse in Nashville, a mini-compound in Beverly Hills, and an historic and mansion in Rhode Island that she bought last year for $17.75 million. So, why not add a pair of penthouses in Tribeca? In case you are wondering if she’s overspending on houses, Forbes estimated her 2011 income at $57 million and her 2013 at $55 million. I’m sure she did fine in 2012 too. Real estate is always a good investment and a lot of stars buy and sell houses as hobby, investment – and shelter from the paps too. Lady Gaga is in New York playing a series of shows at the Roseland Ballroom, which is set to close – for good – in a week. Last night, celebrating her 28th birthday, she performed for just an hour. Before she sang her last song, “Dope” she said, “Thanks for keeping me alive.” After the show, she left in this cab covered in roses. Not just ANY cab – a CHECKER cab. For those of you who are too young to remember or don’t live in NYC, these do not exist any more. I’m guessing that since she’s playing ROSE-land, this is her sartorial and vehicular homage?
