This week on RuPaul’s Drag Race trophies were snatched, and there was one of the most intense stand-off moments we’ve seen in the workroom all season! Out of the gate, this one was about the enigmatic Pearl, and we were taken on a roller coaster ride! So Jon Mallow and I have broken it DOWN for you, and are happy to serve our own Despy Awards dish. SPOILER ALERT: We give away all the winners and losers, this week, so watch the full episode at LogoTV.com before you watch us.
I loved this episode! It was packed with celebs (who knew we’d see Lil’ Kim tonight?! And Cher! Bjork! J-Lo! Lady Gaga! The late Joan Rivers, even. Oh, and the real Kathy Griffin returned!) and who doesn’t love award-show babble??! Some queens sparkled! And we even got some genius acceptance speech moments (“You don’t like me. You really don’t like me!”). And as always, Katya helped make everything clearer. (And who can’t appreciate a Bob Ross shout-out?)

We first got a glimpse of ultra foxy NYC pop princess Moxxi last year when she put out the Ransom clip, starring fab RuPaul’s Drag Race girls Manila Luzon, Pandora Boxx, Alaska Thunderfuck and Raja. And now she just sent me her latest video for track Gimme What You Got, directed by my dear friend Santiago Felipe.
“So… pretty much, the video is a take on odd fetishes some people do behind closed doors”, says Felipe. “I didn’t want it to be so serious though…so I figured a bit of a humorous twist would be good.”
This time around, Moxxi continues her obsession with fantastical situations, strong women in stilettos (Jaclyn Smith is her ‘spirit animal’), and a bit of dominatrix kicks…sometimes love in the Big Apple can be found in atypical situations. Stephen King has written many words strung together to great effect throughout his long career, but this tweet about Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act is short and NASTY. This law allows individuals and/or companies to cite religious freedom if sued for discrimination, thus, potentially legalizing discrimination against the LGBT community in the Hoosier State. King, who split his time between Indiana and Connecticut as a child, took to Twitter to offer his opinion Monday, and he did not mince words:
“Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration act is gay discrimination, pure and simple. You can frost a dog turd, but it’s still a dog turd.”
Thank you, sir. Well said. And Wilco just cancelled their upcoming concert there:
“We’re canceling our 5/7 show in Indianapolis. ‘Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act’ feels like thinly disguised legal discrimination.”
This whole thing isn’t going so well, is it Indiana?

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson:
“If this bill reaches my desk in similar form as to what has been passed in 20 other states then I will sign it.”
The Arkansas House today approved a religious freedom measure very similar to the one Mike Pence signed into law in Indiana –sparking intense outrage from businesses, sports organizations and popular culture figures who said it opened the door to discrimination against gays and lesbians.
Following Indiana’s new law, Arkansas becomes the second of what could be a whole slew of states to add religious freedom laws to their books this year. There are 14 other states considering similar proposals according to the National Conference of State Legislatures: Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming. Those efforts have stalled, though, in North Carolina and Georgia.
Arkansas’s home-state giant Walmart has been a leading critic of the religious freedom bill. All they have to do is hint at a move out of state and Mr. Hutchinson will need some Depends. Well, we’ve got a new hashtag, anyway! Let’s see if we can’t get it trending!? #BoycottArkansas (via CNN)

International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual holiday occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide. The holiday was founded by Michigan-based transgender activist Rachel Crandall in 2009 as a reaction to the lack of LGBT holidays celebrating transgender people, citing the frustration that the only well-known transgender-centered holiday was the Transgender Day of Remembrance which mourned the loss of transgender people to hate crimes, but did not acknowledge and celebrate living members of the transgender community.
In 2014, the holiday was observed by activists across the world — including in Ireland and in Scotland.
This year, trans people all around the world will be showing their pride by posting selfies, videos and other media.

I sat down with gay porn mogul Michael Lucas to discuss his new documentary “Campaign of Hate: Russia and Gay Propaganda,” which raises awareness about the atrocities being committed against LGBT people in his native country.
Says Lucas:
As most of the world moves forward toward gay equality, Russia is seemingly heading backward. Antigay sentiment and legislation are spreading rapidly throughout the country. Earlier this year, the Russian parliament passed a ban on so-called “gay propaganda” that effectively makes nearly any public discussion of gay equality a crime. The city of Moscow has outlawed Gay Pride parades for the next 100 years. Adoption of Russian children is forbidden to citizens of any foreign country that permits gay marriage. And legislation is now being considered that would permit the Russian government to remove gay people’s children from their homes. The Kremlin has chosen the LGBT community as its scapegoat in a populist campaign against supposedly decadent “Western” values, and there are ominous signs of much worse to come. Violent attacks against Russian gays or suspected gays are more and more common. Videos of young LGBT people being taunted and tortured have been widely distributed on the Internet.
Those are the stories that get the headlines, but there is much more to the Russian LGBT men and woman I have met. It is my hope that this documentary will educate viewers to their reality.

NSFW! NSFW! Yummy “Hasta El Fin Del Mundo” star David Zepeda gave his fans an eyeful this week when a video surfaced on Xtube of the telenovela star, ahem, pullin’ the pollo.

The clip that runs over two minutes long shows Zepeda on his bed with what we can only assume is a laptop, same one that is recording this sexual act. David never says anything and we can’t hear much out of him. Later on he stands up and show the camera his completely erect manhood as he pleases himself. The video has been circulating throughout social media and made him become a trendic topic on Twitter.
Zepeda is usually reserved with his personal life, but this gave us way more insight we could’ve imagined. This morning he called in to Javier Poza’s radio talk show to talk about the situation. “Yes, I trusted, it’s my responsibility,” he said about the person that leaked the video. Poza asked if he was going to maybe take this into court. “I am not interested in proceeding legally, my energy is placed somewhere else,” Zepeda said. “The damage is done and we need to put up with it. I apologize to the people, my partner, it was a video from years ago.”
